Although Tru church officially launched on Easter Sunday (April 20th) 2014 the church was active in the surrounding community of St. George for many years before  2014.  Westview Community Church, just a few miles away in Manhattan,  had it in their heart to plant a new church in the growing area of St. George. Through many years of prayer of dedicated people serving in the community of St. George, God led Westview to begin a new work in St. George. God brought together a new church launch team led by founding pastor Dave Romero, to reaching out to people in the St George area and beyond by sharing the love of Jesus in tangible ways. Tru church first began meeting together for Sunday worship at the St George Elementary school which graciously hosted the church for several years. Tru church also met at a St. George wedding venue called Black Jack Hills through the summer of 2020. In March 2021, Tru Church moved into a new building at the corner of Hwy 24 and Flush Road. Since its beginning Tru church has been a family on mission together, desiring to reach out to the St. George area and beyond sharing the love of Jesus Christ in tangible ways.
